[DW Help] PROJECT: Site Copy Editor

Time Estimate: 20-30 hours over July and August
Scope: Pre-Launch

Description: The site copy editorial team will work within the in- 
house style guidelines to update and clarify all text appearing on  
the site (excluding FAQs). The text you'll be rewriting is the base  
text shipped with LiveJournal's default installation. Work will be  
done in the on-site site copy editor (which has usability challenges,  
so a heavy dose of patience is a volunteer requirement).

Other requirements include impeccable writing skills, the ability to  
work well with a team and accept direction, and the ability to write  
in a casual and honest tone while keeping to the standards of  
spelling, grammar, and in-house style.

Please submit a writing sample of 500 words or more (technical or  
persuasive writing preferred, but fiction is also acceptable; show us  
something that shows your voice) and a statement of how many hours a  
week you're willing to volunteer to denise at dwscoalition.org. Please  
use "Site Copy Editor" as the title of your email.

Qualified volunteers will be asked to take a copyediting test.
